Hmmm…MMmmmmm…
Thorne’s been a busy gal lately. Life is full. Too full. It’s a full time job just to survive here in america these days. (Don’t go there, Thornie… just breathe).
So I’m coming back slowly but surely. As I was telling Billie in an email this morning, I think I’m done with my outrage and activism. Our Bishop’s death took something out of me.
Besides, I’m too busy trying to survive and digging bunkers. Hehehe.
I might have some good, fantastic even; news soon. I’m not saying anything yet. Things have a habit lately of going wrong more often than right, so maybe if I keep it to myself I can hold the good magick close enough to actually manifest. But cross your fingers, pray, light a candle or think good thoughts for me, eh?? (I can use all the help I can get).
This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit my “Squeeze”… She is the hostess with the mostest and facilitator and conduit extrordinaire! She had a few folks over f
or Tarot readings by your favorite Oraclular Witch, none other than yours truly. Woot! A lil $$ made and energy shared. Can’t beat that with a stick. One more month ahead of the wolves, uh, bears, uh… fuck that, republicans!!
I spent the 2 weeks previous working on stained glass and some fun broken tile mosaic. Here’s my favorite glass piece. Her body is pewter, and the wings are cut from some really exquisite Bullseye Art Glass in shades of purple, clear and a kindof rusty orange. You can find her for sale at Thorne’s Atomic Mall Store. There are alot of other goodies to see there, too. Get on over there, eh?? You know, the big consumer holiday is right around the corner, so buy, buy, buy!! LOL Well, if you are gonna buy, you might as well help support your favorite starving blogger artist while you’re at it. Hahaha.
I also worked on some tiled and glass mosaic balls for your garden or yard, but I haven’t gotten the grout cleaned and sealed yet so I can take pics. Soon, soon…
We had to give up the storage container, so I’m rearranging and trying to find room inside and in various half-assed storage spaces around the property for the rest. The lion’s share of my crafting crap (ie; scrapbooking, sewing/quilting, stamping and altered books, crocheting and silk painting and tye dye… well, you get the idea) is in the cellar, which still needs to be further flood proofed. The good news is my books are finally inside my house. The bad news is the floor to ceiling bookshelf was too tall for these old style short- people ceilings so I lost a whole shelf not to mention the only wall not taken up by windows in the Living Room.
We ran out of funds for the Studio after the last disastrous show in July, so the Studio is, for the nonce, moving into G-ma’s old room.
Today, I’m moving Living Room stuff to accommodate 2 birds (Hildy and Swee’Pea, who like to stay up late like me), so I can bring the evil Amazons out into the Dining Room. They’ve been lonely in there since G-ma died. Then I’m gonna paint the room black and tile the floor. Voila: Studio!!
That way I can set up my desk and computer in the Living Room in view (and temperature range) of the fireplace for business, blogging and bullshit.
Um, yeah. I’m also gearing up for another year of NaNoWriMo. I think I have some fun ideas for this year’s novel. Not quite as “noir” as last year’s grief purge in the form of novelling.
So waddya think?? Does it sound like Thornesworld is back on track and running full speed ahead into insanity as usual? Can we say “manic”?? Can we say “Autumn”??
Of course, you may remember waaaay back when I wrote:
13 Reasons that Fall Cleaning is a Bigger Deal Than Spring Cleaning in Thorne’s World.
I’m not gonna go into all that again, but if you don’t remember the article, well… it’s just a clicky away. (and I can use all the hits I can get!)
Peace Out!
