So what’s good in Thorne’s World today??

What isn’t!?!
Seriously, if it weren’t Only the Good Friday, I could prolly give you a long list of not-so-good stuff, but as I have said before, nobody likes a whiny witch! So… here’s what is good today:
- A visit with my Mom and reminiscing about some of the homes we’ve lived in and the unique experiences we had there. We talked about mud parties, feeding ants, possums in trees and dogs pulling skateboards. Good times!
- Playing World of Warcraft again. I’ve been giving myself permission to play again. I’ve made a lot of in game advancement and achievements in the last several play sessions, gotten some nice gear, had an ingame head change, visited with gaming friends, made new ones, reconnected with my guildmates and enjoyed the game graphics and scenery. I’ve even done a little fishing! (and if none of this makes sense to you, stay tuned; Imma write about my online gaming with screen shots of the gorgeous graphics, soon!) Too much fun.
- The laundry/kitchen porch is clean and I’ve made a serious dent in the laundry (which includes craft and sewing fabrics that got dusty and dirty when we moved them from storage unit to storage unit, and clothes that needed to be washed and sorted for donation.) The mountain of laundry is looking a bit less formidable and all the clean clothes smell sooo nice! (I just love that; don’t you??)
Phase one of the reclaiming of the studio is well under way. Shipping boxes and packing materials have been sorted and organized, tools and building materials have been put away and/or stacked, and random crafting mats have been moved to the cellar for future sorting. It’s all good!
- The GirlyBoi got enough work to pay for the week’s groceries which is really freaking good!! I even got to splurge and buy a pound of precious, tasty, espresso roast beans as a treat! (Gods, it’s been months since I’ve bought good coffee!) Soooo good!
So yeah… it is a good Friday, at the end of a good week, and I’m ready for a good weekend! Don’t forget to stop by This Eclectic Life to see what other good everyone is up to this Friday!
Peace, out!

See this image? Those twins but for the halo n horns? I chose this image because I can be a snarky bitch now and then, even if I do try to keep it light here. You might notice my gematriculator, off on the left sidebar there? It says that Thorne’s World is 48% evil. I just leave it at that, because I like to think I’m a balanced kinda gal. It makes a statement about good and evil and it’s a bit of Tao, kind of a Yin/Yang thing, ya know what i mean? (Like those kitties! Is that cute, or what?!)
Truth is, it’s not a static figure. That’s just as close to 50% as I’ve ever come in Thorne’s World. I clicked over just before publishing this post and I’m running at an all time low evil today- only 27%!! I could put the 73% good banner, but it has a cross as the central logo which is just not my thang! (besides, I like being a lil naughty!)
I also tend to get weighed down by the world. I find myself reading a lil politics here, a lil human rights there… a lil environmental news, then some bits on endangered species… and the next thing I know I’m overwhelmed and all I can think is it’s time for Mama Earth to purge herself of this parasitic human race. See? There I almost went, just thinking about it!
But it’s Friday! And that means it’s the day a group of us are posting Only the Good! Read more »

Oh my. It’s after 4 pm on Only the Good Friday, and I still haven’t gotten my good up! Don’t get me wrong; I’ve been gettin’ my good on all day here at Pair – O – Dykes Ranch!
In fact, I started gettin’ my good on this week on Wednesday when I took my Momma out for her very first Starbucks! We went to Barne’s and Noble so she could pick something out for her birthday; Momma’s a bibliophile (like Momma like daughter)! We had a lovely day and then yesterday, which was actually my Momma’s birthday, I made her a lil cake and she bought me dinner!
Then the GirlyBoi left for Reno with her Momma and sister to visit her brother. That’s all good, too. Good that my MiL, (Momma-in-Love), gets to spend Mother’s Day with all three of her kids together.
It’s also good that the GirlyBoi gets to hit the road and have some fun. She deserves it.
And it’s SO good for the Thornie to be on her own for a bit. No schedules, no cooking (unless I want to), no worrying about my late night habits keeping the GirlyBoi awake. Luxuriating in sleeping in, and (since Sissy and “metro”, my nephew are gone too, I get to be as nekkid as I wanna be, which is always good in Thorne’s World!
I did finally get dressed, (about an hour ago), and now imma head out to the garden for a bit.
I’ll be in and out and stopping by to check on the rest of you viral Only the Good-ers later.
Have as good a weekend as ya want to!
Peace, out!
