Through an Aged Lens

stumps monochromatic photographyI kinda like this one. I had a pretty busy day today so I didn’t actually have much time to prepare. I went through some photos on my laptop and came up with this one (These stumps will eventually be some sort of yard art/parrot perches) and thought it might do well as a monochromatic image. Since I don’t have any photo editing software on my lil ol’ mac titanium (yes- old!), I used an online image editor. It doesn’t have a greyscale option,so I used a filter called “old picture”. It really does look like an old photo, don’t you think? Thanks for stopping in and be sure to visit Monochrome Weekly for lots of mono photo links!
Peace, out!

Hard Working Hands

I’m taking my queue from my friend Shelly today. She posted the most awesome black and white photo of hands reaching for the sky; well, that’s how I see it anyway. I’m joining Monochrome Weekly and I have hands. I love hands. monochrome black and white photo working hands
Ree Drummond, Pioneer Woman can hoot n holler all she wants to about the beauty of men working, but yours truly, aka the “Anti-Pioneer Woman” says there is nothing as beautiful to me as these hands. My GirlyBoi’s strong, hard working hands.
Head over to this week’s selection of incredible monochromatic masterpieces at the Monochrome Weekly Hub. In Thornesworld we love CC (constructive criticism) of our photos (damn, do I have a mouse in my pocket, or am I simply feeling royal again?) Anyway, I’d love your comments and input on my fledgling photo attempts, and be sure to leave your own photo links in comments if you like.
Peace, out!
