Sand Chair

I love the look of this weathered wood and rusty metal.
For me, at least, the image is sadly nostalgic- reminding me of visiting our High Desert ranch as a small child, sitting in these long decayed pieces of “lawn” furniture. The Monochrome seems to intensify the melancholy, somehow. Stop by Ailiani’s for more Monochrome Weekly images!
Peace, out!

I can see how it might be melancholy but to me it almost looks like a piece of sculpture. Very artistic.
I agree, is sad as only abandoned things, once loved can be. Great shot.
It is a sad artifact of someone’s life, now abandoned. But a clever title:)
The ravages of Time – I try not to think about. Today I feel like that old chair – but mornings are not my good time.
One of the best I’ve seen this week! Chair with a story – it remembers things! How did you stumble onto this one?
I agree with Carver that the chair looks like a piece of sculpture. But, I understand how you feel that it holds the “ghost” of memories past.
Good shot, girlfriend!
My eyes went from the chair to what appears to be a painting of a skyline directly behind it – or a time ravished piece of wood>
Great find!
