2 years ago this rowboat was filled with color and life. After last year’s grieving and depression, this year it is a fitting subject for Monochrome Weekly. My poor little sad rowboat planter… drowning in weeds and neglect. Next year it will be a subject for Summer Stock Sunday… you’ll see.
Peace, out!

Old boats may be photworthy but they are sad. Our dear old Witch fell apart and I had such plans for her.
It does look really nice in monochrome. We have had so much rain that all my outdoor plants are dying.
Based on how I’ve seen you transform other things on your blog, I have no doubt about next yer’s SUmmer Stock Sunday plans!! How big is that planter?
I though after seeing the flowers planted in a toilet bowl nothing can surprise me – but you keep surprising! Thank you! Such a beautiful vision. Such an unusual sight!
I think its pretty terrific right now
I hope it all comes back to life next summer! :)
I think it looks pretty cool in the photo – but probably no so nice in your real world huh? Cool idea. Can I borrow your boat to plow through the weeds growing haywire in our yard? Hip Chick is right – all our nice plants are dying from lack of sun and too much rain – the grass and weeds eat it up.
Aw heck. I was looking for a picture of Ree Drummond’s rowboat so I could show that you were the anti-Pioneer Woman :-) Couldn’t find it.
I have 2 old wooden rowboats that I use for planters, and one much larger aluminum boat that is earmarked to become my throne. LOL Just wait…
That will look great planted. It does make a good mono though as it is now.
I like the optimism inbued in that sentence.
