Tuesday Tarot #4 The Empress (IV)
This image is so evocative of my understanding of this card. When I see The Empress I always feel pregnant. Pregnant with ideas, thoughts, creation… magick. The Empress speaks to me of manifestation. Of nurturing a seed to sprout, a seedling to grow and flower, a flower to bring forth fruit.
The Empress is mother, matriarch. She is caregiver and caretaker; the benevolent ruler of her demesnes. She is earthy and healthy and fecundity. She luxuriates in her senses and surroundings. She loves beauty and sensuality and is, in fact, sensuality personified.
When you see the Empress see yourself in her. Consider creation and birth and growth. Feel your nurturing, loving expression in your family and among your close friends. How does she relate to your life right now? Are you nurturing yourself and others? Are you in a creative process and about to give birth? When the Empress appears in your reading you are probably full with life and love and luxuriating in abundance. Enjoy!

Interesting. I’d like to think of myself as manifesting the Empress, taking care of 7 dogs,horses and the land as well. I never thought about it as giving birth to the creative process though. I could use her help in that area.

I like the Empress. I like the curves. That ‘s my style. I am thinking of my pirate mermaid now and how you want her to look, maybe curvy and roundness, like the Empress. Looks good to me.
