Lion Tattoo

This lion is done in what I call my “reasonably realistic” style. I call it reasonably realistic because I use a bit more black than one would find in a photo-realistic style of tattoo, but not as much black outlining as one would use doing a more traditional tattoo style. I find that a bit of black helps with depth and perspective and tends to keep the tattoo looking good longer than going for photo-realism, especially when the client is into tanning, and this one is religious about hitting the tanning beds.

Peace, out!

It is amazing how beautiful this tattoos are – when I was a kid tattoos used to be greenish blue lines stretched by the skin in weird forms. Yours are very colorful piece of art. Is it painful? No pain – no gain – or do you use anesthetics? I have no clue about tattoos – forgive my silly questions!
I have to admit, I’m not much of a tattoo fan, but that one is gorgeous!!! Maybe if all tattoos were as nicely done as this, I’d think differently, right?
