I’m taking my queue from my friend Shelly today. She posted the most awesome black and white photo of hands reaching for the sky; well, that’s how I see it anyway. I’m joining Monochrome Weekly and I have hands. I love hands.
Ree Drummond, Pioneer Woman can hoot n holler all she wants to about the beauty of men working, but yours truly, aka the “Anti-Pioneer Woman” says there is nothing as beautiful to me as these hands. My GirlyBoi’s strong, hard working hands.
Head over to this week’s selection of incredible monochromatic masterpieces at the Monochrome Weekly Hub. In Thornesworld we love CC (constructive criticism) of our photos (damn, do I have a mouse in my pocket, or am I simply feeling royal again?) Anyway, I’d love your comments and input on my fledgling photo attempts, and be sure to leave your own photo links in comments if you like.
Peace, out!

What a gorgeous photo and what strong capable hands. Hands have intelligence.
I am glad the blade is uppermost – and the absence of blood told me this isn’t what I feared.
You have got off to a pizzazz start – welcome.
I like this picture. Good submission
Beautiful! And you say you can’t make good pics :D ? This is so expressive, I love it.
Good shot – glad to see that both of you are participating w/the Monochrome Maniacs! I’ll look forward to your B&W’s.
Hope you are having a fabulous week, my friend!
i can’t keep up with you :) i love your mix over here of the surreal, sublime and incredible- how’s that for cc? :)
I would trust those hands. Strong and sure and graceful. Wonderful image – and it is moving too !
A fine photo, raising all sorts of questions – as do all the best.
I think you did a wonderful job of capturing those hands at work in black and white. Sometimes photographs call for black and white vs color.
Wishing you a scent-sational day!
Patty
No CC here! That’s a fabulous picture! I really need to learn some photography skills. Nice!
So I’m a little late getting here – excellent shot! Love your blog :-)
