I love mosaic, but have never done it before. Unfortunately I couldn’t find or see your recycled mosaic pieces on your other blog. Have you got a direct link to them? Happy TT!
I don’t do mosaics but I believe in recycling on principle, so I love this TT!
I’ve done one mosaic in my life. It looked terrible. LOL! It was for a craft project in school, and I really enjoyed it, but I guess I never thought of doing more because I have no idea what to do with them! I would never have thought to use some of these materials though. How creative of you!
Recycling and art go together very well here.
Just one word….EXCELLENT!!!!
My 13 is posted….all flowers in our yard, done in a collage for you. Drop by if you can find time. Happy Thursday.
The other blog post is scheduled to be published at 8:00 AM Eastern Time. It’s worth the wait!
Wow! I never would have thought of using some of those things! Happy Thursday!

Darn it, Thorne, you’re inspiring me! (Heartbroken, aren’t you?)
Now to make the time…
Oh wow. Neat list.
Buttons! I’ve got to try it.
I’ve never done this form of art work, but I have almost every single one of those items around my house. Something to think about.
The White House
When we get a house, and remodel, I want to use some of the old stuff and left over stuff to create things for are for the house. Thanks for the ideas on what I can use :)

You’re so creative! And you recycle. Two wonderful qualities in my mind.
going to see what you’ve done with them!
Aren’t mosaics fun, they can be so pretty too. My kids & I have done some really great stepping stones using many of the things on your list as decoration! I checked out yours too & they’re beautiful.
The rusted hardware and old silverware are things I wouldn’t have thought of for mosaics. But that’s just the kind of lift a piece needs, sometimes.
Why you’re just a regular Martha Stewart! Next week show us 13 examples of the mosaics you’ve created.
i have never made a mosaic but i had to make a mask for a stage makeup class in college and i smashed up some of those colored tiles that looked like stone and glued them around the top. and i used dried willow leaves and dried flowers too. i suppose i got off on a tangent but reading this post totally reminded me of that project. happy tt!
It absolutely rocks, so to speak, that you do so much recycling to turn trash into treasure. I love the tile mosaics you did at Blog on Smog! You are a fantastic resource for living green and for craft ideas as well. Keep those articles coming, girlfriend.
Recycling and Art, utterly awesome!
Happy TT
