re-reading my comment from above i realize my sentence “i recently watched the movie Milk and it made me so sad for what those people had to go through and still do” doesn’t read right. “those people” simply refers to the people in the movie. then i thought of the people that are currently living this nightmare today and added the last bit without clarifying. it was not my intention to come across as demeaning in any way!

i really should should proof-read what i write. :/

i was really surprised too when CA passed prop 8. i recently watched the movie Milk and it made me so sad for what those people had to go through and still do. especially the shit that right wing conservative lady said. it was completely horrifying. like everything else, one step forward, a couple steps back.

i am glad to learn that the people that were able to marry can stay married. a small consolation at best.

i hope you and your girlyboi get your legal marriage one day.
