13 Reasons Thornie is Stressin’ the Blog Move
1) Finding a theme I love has taken countless hours.
2) Once I found the header image on this one, I loved it so much I didn’t care about functionality
3) Well, actually I thought I could tweak the functionality
4) CSS pretty much sux
5) They say that both math and language use the same hemisphere of the brain. I speak 3 languages. I suck at math. Code is like a new algebraic language.
6) Languages are best learned when you’re young.
7) I’m not young.
8) php may be great for running things, but it’s hell to figure out compared to good ol’ html.
9) The good news is: People in general at the wordpress.org forums are pretty helpful (as long as you’ve at least tried to search the answers to your questions, first)
10) I’m worried that my beloved my “lurkers” and feed readers might not find me.
11) I have to ask my lovely blogrollers to update me yet again!
12) There are sooo many broken images and links after the move.
13) There is a stray TT from February as the top post on this page. I have no idea why or how it got there. I hope this will replace it.

I SO know your pain in the move department, Thorne! I moved four months ago and am still getting things right.
Of course I followed, you. And yes, I’m still staring at The Emperor. I like mine; he’s very contemplative.
I’ve been holding off for a year now, sure I’d mess it up. I got two different people who said they’d help me who later caved. As to the stray TT, it must be fixed now because I don’t see it.

i like your header! i think any sort of change, whether it is change we embrace or resist, is stressful regardless.
question-why does it hurt for you to receive reiki? i have never encountered that before. i’m intrigued.

You really must take the plunge. It’s a pain, but I’m thinking it will be well worth it in the long run. The wordpress install is simple, especially if you choose an up-to-date theme (unlike my contrary ass!) I found that I had mistakenly made that TT “sticky” LOL The joke’s on me!!

N° 5 fits on me too ! I am a complete zero in math, but I speak 4 languages. German my mother tongue, french because I live since 50 years in Belgium, Italian, because of my Italian husband and I have always worked for American companies.

We did a T13 recently about all the places that I moved to – I hate moving physically and the thought of having to move our blog causes a shudder. No thanks.
I don’t know what half of that code stuff you mention means – I’m pretty shocked that I figured out some basic HTML!
